Sophia is from Itasca, IL and came to the University of Iowa for her undergraduate studies. She is pursuing a B.S. degree in Human Physiology with a minor in Spanish. She joined the Sowers lab in November of 2024 as an undergraduate research assistant. Sophia will be attending medical school in the fall of 2026.
